As we wrap up 2024, we’re taking a moment to celebrate the incredible strides our Chamber and community have made together. This year was filled with meaningful connections, impactful initiatives, and exciting progress.
Our Community Coffee events were a resounding success, with 60+ attendees every month, creating a vibrant space for connection and collaboration. We also hosted unforgettable Business After Hours gatherings, from High Country Bank to The Adventure Center, co-hosted with Riverhouse Lodge and Slackwater Inn, and wrapping up the year at JVAM and First Colorado—each event strengthening bonds within our business community.
We’re thrilled to have brought the Welcome Center to life, welcoming visitors with open arms and sharing the important message of responsible recreation, including wildfire prevention after the Twin Lakes fire.
This year also marked another amazing Civics Bee, where local middle schoolers shined as they tackled big community challenges with creativity and insight. It’s inspiring to see the next generation embrace civic engagement and problem-solving.
We celebrated numerous ribbon cuttings for new members and new businesses, honoring their creativity and commitment to making Buena Vista even better. We love celebrating great ideas and supporting local businesses and nonprofits as they unleash their beautiful creativity and expertise to strengthen our community.
Our business directory launched successfully, and as we look to 2025, we’re making bold improvements to our platform, business directory, and community calendar, ensuring it becomes THE go-to resource for all things Buena Vista, uniting residents and visitors alike.
We also kept the BV Buzz weekly newsletter going strong! This public newsletter keeps everyone up-to-date on what’s happening in BV—if you’re not already subscribed, you can sign up here. Behind the scenes, we communicated directly with our members on important matters, ensuring they were informed and supported throughout the year.
And we can't forget our fall annual members meeting, which was a big success! It was a joy to gather together, celebrate the year’s achievements, and share exciting plans for the future.
As we reflect on this year’s accomplishments, we’re excited to look ahead. With a spirit of collaboration and a shared vision, we’re setting bold intentions for 2025. Let’s continue to grow, thrive, and build a community we’re proud to call home.
